Seminar: A deep dive into the Gargano Classification
Kate opened, managed and rumtended Rumba for its first 5 years, curating a collection of over 600 rums. In late 2017 she moved to New York City to become the North American Market Manager for La Maison & VELIER, launching some of the world’s most unique and interesting rums.
About the seminar. La Maison & Velier presents: A deep dive into the Gargano Classification with a focus on pot still distillation from historical and technical point of view. The classification will be illustrated by the new range, HABITATION VELIER, just launched this month in the US. In the Caribbean basin there are only 49 distilleries producing rum, with only 18 using traditional pot stills. The HABITATION VELIER range celebrates these producers and is created in tandem with Velier to highlight the best pot still rums produced in the Caribbean (and beyond).
