Master Distiller @ Rhum Barbancourt
Jean Marc Ewald is the Master Distiller at Rhum Barbancourt and the guardian of the maison’s ancestral and award-winning production techniques. With a holistic approach to production he manages the entire process from sugar cane reception to milling, fermentation distillation and bottling. Jean Marc’s experience in manufacturing and production range from the textile industry to breweries culminating in 17 years as head of operations for the leading coffee roasting company in Haiti. His expertise in quality management has allowed him to refine fermentation and distillation processes at Barbancourt to eventually take on the role of Master Distiller. Jean Marc holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Quisqueya University in Haiti and a Bachelors of Industrial Engineering from Quebec University.
